Sometimes I feel like someone has taken a black crayon and colored in front of us. When you try to see light, it's next to impossible.
Brody had his follow eye appointment to see how his glasses were and his eye surgery situation.
We found out that:
A. They put the wrong lens in each eye. Meaning, the prescription for the right eye was in the left and the prescription for the left eye was in the right. SO, for two months, while his vision had improved so much, it was not correct due to an error on another person's behalf.
B. Brody is legally blind in his left eye.
C. Brody now has to wear a patch on his right eye so the left will be forced to strengthen muscle and vision wise.
We will go back in a month to determine surgery. Again, the doctor does not feel like the patch or glasses will fix the muscle in his left eye but we want to cross off all options before jumping to surgery.
I feel like I should make it very clear that Brody's glasses being wrong had nothing to do with the doctor however, it was the office staff. The doctor asked me to email in detail what happened and send it to 2 managers and CC him.
I have to admit, I absolutely lost it when I found out about the error. Just imagine what little Brody was going through during these two months!
I'm looking forward to his eye appointment with the NOVA clinic on Thursday. We will know all about his eyes then.
