HI! It's been a long while... almost 4 months!
Life has been busy.
Truette is now 7.5 months old! She has two teeth on the bottom and is crawling and trying to learn how to pull up. She actually was found by Ricky a couple days ago standing in her crib. She is the sweetest little thing there ever was! She makes my heart so very happy.
She is weighing in at about 17 pounds these days. She got her ears pierced at her 6 month check up and it was traumatic :). She is eating solid food and prefers it over her formula but I still try to get her at least 3 bottles per day. I recently started her on little baby finger foods over the weekend. She has done very well with those. She is a talker and has mastered the Indian talk. She smiles and laughs at all times unless she is hungry or someone that isn't her momma and daddy are holding her.
Christmas is in full swing at our house. I love this time of year especially having kids. We have three trees this year. 2 are smaller fake ones that were meant to go in the kids' rooms but the lights kept them up so they are now in the kitchen and living room and we have our real tree too. I haven't had to worry one bit about my nearly 4.5 year olds messing with the gift under the tree but put Tutu on the floor and she dashes to the presents and tries to open them! We've done a lot of Christmas things this year and it's so much fun to share the excitement with the kids. We didn't plan to do any trips like we usually do because we were unsure how Gracie would heal after surgery. Turns out nothing keeps her down and we probably could have done something but we've at least have had a good time around our area. Our Elf has been a life safer with keeping the kids well minding this season... maybe I should find a way to make him year round?
Gracie had her surgery the week of Thanksgiving and other than the first night, she has done fantastic! We will go back next week and the Plastic Surgeon will most likely release us back to the Orthopedic. The hardest part has been keeping her from running, jumping, etc. She is walking better (straighten leg) more and more every day.
The kids are doing well in school. Madi has really soared and it's amazing how much she is learning and growing. Sometimes a little to big for her own good. Gracie and Brody have very recently both learned how to spell their names and are working at consistently writing their names.
The biggest news is we are really working on potty training Brody. We've really been on it since this past weekend and we are getting there. Life will be much better for him once he is potty trained.
He is going for some testing tomorrow to get an outside opinion on his abilities to learn vs what the school thinks. Outside information is always best in my opinion. Last week we learned he had been wearing glasses that are too strong for him so I think with the changes being made, we are well on our way to getting him set up to be super successful.
I hope everyone received the Christmas cards. We thought they turned out so cute this year!
Merry Christmas!
Krista
