update

A lot has gone on and we've all been super busy. That's just the way life works. I'm actually going back to work full time and am very excited about my job and being out of the house. I was volunteering at the school many days per week but it wasn't enough to keep me busy. I'm use to raising 4 kids 24/7 and when 3 go off to school all day, Truette and I got a little bored.
The oil and gas industry sucks right now. It's so, so, so bad. Luckily Ricky's job is protected since they have work and his department actually makes money and a lot of it but they've had some really slow times. They've picked back up especially this week, he's worked a lot of hours but I still worry. He tells me not to worry but I guess I read and watch too much news! All we can do is continue to be thankful for he's got a stable job.
He and I went to LA for a night the week of Christmas. We'd never been to a casino together and stayed at the Golden Nugget. It's an extremely nice resort. We had a blast and I won $522.00! It made our entire trip free plus some! It was so fun to be away, we've not done anything since we went to Key West back in 2012.
I'm sure I've left out a million things! We are still looking for land but the market is suppose to get really bad so we want to see if we can get some land super cheap or at least a resonable price when that happens. We really like living on the lake but we'd really like to have land. We have really great neighbors and that's always very important and a big plus.

Truette update

My sweet baby! I have so much to say about her but there isn't enough time in the day. She is just the best! But she is just like Madi which means she is just like me! She has "no" down well. She is so great though! She eats well and is obsessed with drinking. She'll drink two drinks just when she wakes in the morning. She loves guacamole! She actually eats that everyday at school. Yes, at school! She started preschool 1/4/2016 full time. It was a rough start for her and it took everything Ricky and I had to leave her but now she has adjusted well. She will get the pout frown face sometimes when we drop her off but she isn't screaming like she was so that's a plus. We really like where she is and it's a place we trust. Since being there, her vocabulary has taken off. I like that they have a ciriculum they follow even though they are young and believe it or not, she is really learning new things everyday! I finally moved her out of our room a couple months ago. Not because of her but because I'm crazy and just wanted her with me. There is something about knowing she is my last baby ever. It's kind of sad in a way and I just don't want the time to go by so fast like it did with the triplets. Everything with them was rushed because I was fighting so hard to get them caught up. With her I don't want to rush a thing! It's so weird having a child without any delays. We are blown away with how early she is doing things. Like just the other day, she was holding her yogurt with one hand and had a spoon with the other feeding herself! I've not even shown her how to use a spoon yet! She also will go get her own diapers and wipes when she wants to be changed. She is a complete mess and the entire family adores her. She get's so excited when Ricky comes home and when it's time to go get her bubby and sissies from the school bus. She currently LOVES Doc McStuffins, Minnie Mouse, and My Little Pony but Doc is her favorite!
I am so thankful we have her. She really has completed our family.

Madi update

Madi loves school and LOVES her teacher. They have a very special relationship and I'm very thankful for that. Madi loves to learn and you will always catch her with a pencil, pen, crayon, or marker in her hand. She is a very good artist and creates a new masterpiece almost daily. She read Green Eggs and Ham today and Ricky and I were so impressed and shocked! She needed very little help. Hello, she is only 5.5 years old! Madi is still bossy as ever and my mini me. She likes to dress with the same style of clothes I wear and she loves that her teacher says she looks like me. Recently I started doing the girls nails every weekend for the week and she really looks forward to that. She has started asking to play soccer. I'm not sure why since Ricky and I never played nor do we watch soccer but I have wanted to put her in so she can be busy. When she isn't busy she is a nightmare to handle, just being honest! She still thinks she is Brody and Gracie's mom and Gracie finally had to get in some real big trouble because she was calling Madi mom and asking Madi things to ask me! I made it clear who the mom was! Madi is very mature for her age and has fit in very well with school and making friends.
