We are still here :)

I like to plan fun things like vacations and birthday parties for the kids. When life is hectic and stressful, I'll plan something that doesn't matter at the moment to relax. So I started planning the kids' birthday party 2 days ago. This lead to me deciding it will be cowboy/cowgirl theme which initially started from doing a Woody and Jesse Toy Story party. Anyway, the point is, the kids now are very proud owners of real cowgirl/cowboy boots. Madi didn't take hers off until bedtime. The wonderful part of having two girls in different sizes is that Truette will get some really nice stuff eventually. Brody is so proud to have his boots. He put them on all by himself without a problem (he still struggles with regular shoes). As soon as he put them on he said, "Yeehaw!" When the girls allow him to talk the kid is hilarious! We hope to take them to the livestock show this year if we can get settled in somewhere.
I think we have the final step before closing on the house today, the appraisal. Our agent isn't worried about it since we pretty much have the nicest house in the neighborhood but I always worry. It's so weird to have people in the space you live. I don't feel like this is home anymore. It's really just where we are for a couple more weeks. We don't spend any time on this side of town and I just don't like driving into the neighborhood. All signs that say it's time to move on. The one thing we will miss so much is Mrs. Lupe and Ronnie. She'll come to our new house and probably even stay the night sometimes but it's just not the same.
Madi finally has school today. It was canceled on Friday and Tuesday because the big ice storm of 2014... we had very little ice. The entire city of Houston shut down :) She had her last gymnastics Monday. I don't even know how to tell her that was the last class. We'd plan on going until we moved but she had some makeup days and they just asked if they could refund us our money because of their policy so Monday was the last day. She understands she will go to a new gymnastics and dance class but she doesn't understand it will be a while.
We saw Truette last Friday morning and didn't receive the best news. I go back next week and we are praying hard that things are changing and moving in the right direction. She moves a lot all day and night which is a very good sign so my hopes are up that she will be okay.
I'm not really worried about much else these days. Ricky is in charge of finding us a place to live and moving us. I told him to just let me know the address where I can find my bed and I'll be fine. My focus is really Truette and helping Madi adjust. Brody and Gracie are much more go with the flow. I should also probably get our taxes together before we move and things are crazy but I'm carefree with that too. With being pregnant with Truette and having been through everything I did with the trips, I'm more aware of when I've done too much, should rest, am too stressed, etc. and I want a full term baby so I'm doing less and less everyday. I'm almost 24 weeks now and although my mind and personality wants to go nonstop, I'm taking it easy. I'll have plenty of time to pick up the pace of things come May.
Hopefully the next update will be from our new home!
