Brody's stomach looks really good. There is some haze around his little finger type things in his intestine (I can't remember what they are called) and his stomach shape is a little different but over all the inside of the stomach looks good.
They did take several biopsies and sent those off to Pathology here in Houston, and took some other samples that are being sent to New York. The ones going to New York will basically measure his sugar and how his body is breaking down those details.
The doctor said it is a good thing and a bad thing that the scope was good since his distended stomach is such a mystery. We are also going to do an ultrasound of his liver because several of Brody's doctors can't figure out if it is an enlarged liver or scar tissue from his first gut surgery in the NICU. We won't even think about that until the other results are in.
He did very well going under and coming back and was not fussy at all. Several people came by and offered to take him home and couldn't believe how well behaved he is. When people ask how I do it, this is how... all in all they are just really well behaved babies!
Meme kept the girls and probably spoiled them a little too much but that is what Memes are suppose to do :)
When we got home Ricky went to bed since he had 2 hours sleep before having to go to the hospital. While the kids were taking their lunch time nap, I went to register for a mini term and spring term at the college.
It has been a good day and I'm very thankful for that!
Thanks for all the prayers and just thinking about us. It has been a rough couple months but we are doing a lot better than we were this time last year!
Now it is time to relax and enjoy the holidays!
