13 month pictures

Tomorrow our babies will be 14 months old. This past month has been very busy but very wonderful.

Brody is doing so great in therapy. His legs are getting a lot stronger and he can stand for an entire therapy session. The glasses have been a God send for him. He is all boy and I think he will be an Engineer. He is so much like his daddy it is amazing. He loves to see how things work. His favorite toys are Hot Wheels. He will sit and play with them for hours. He loves to make the tiny wheels spin with his fingers. He can army crawl very quickly but he refuses to crawl or even work on crawling in therapy. He is eating very well and for the most part, we don't have too much of a challenge. He eats a lot. His current breakfast is: 1 whole Nutragrain bar, 1 entire instant oatmeal packet, 1 cup of yogurt. His lunch consist of: 1 large jar of stage 3 baby food meal, 1 small jar of vegetables, 1 small jar of fruit. His snacks are Cheetos, cheerios, pudding, gold fish, and chocolate chip cookies. Dinner is pretty much whatever we are eating unless it is spicy or if I can't mush it up. The junk food is doctors orders because we have to push the calories to get him caught up on weight.... story of my life!
Gracie has grown so much this past month. She now claps her hands. It is amazing to see her clapping her hands and that light bulb smile she has. Therapy is not her favorite. It does not hurt her, she just does not want to do what someone wants her to do, she wants to do what Gracie wants to do. Very strong willed. She is army crawling and the most amazing/ puzzling thing is she uses her "bad" leg as her dominant leg to push off on. She loves to jump in the bouncer and continues to use both feet. She is very much in love with her daddy and screams with joy the moment he walks in the door. Her and I do have a blast during the day but the nights are reserved for daddy time only. She is eating the same things as Brody but it does take her longer because little love still has no teeth and is not even getting any yet!
Madi is a full blown toddler. She actually walked around behind a toy today for the first time. I was shocked. Earlier in the week I put her in the walker and she took off around the house for the first time. She now zips around going 90 to nothing. I wonder who she gets that from...... {Meme} She has her two front teeth half way out and two other top teeth coming in to join the two bottom teeth. She loves to make a huge mess with her food by getting her hands full of food and then clapping and laughing. Hoss loves this! She is eating the same types of foods but not as much. She doesn't need as many calories and she refuses food when she is full. She loves to eat whatever we are eating and will scream at you until you give her your food. She is drinking out of a straw now!
We went out to eat and put the babies in high chairs this past month instead of keeping them in their car seats. They ate our food and really enjoyed it. Some parents of multiples hid/ stay in until their kids are like 7 but I refuse to do that. That is not Ricky and I. Some people say it is too much work or too hard but whatever, this is life and I'm not going to stop living because I have 3 kids that I happened to have at the same time. They are so well behaved that I don't see it as an issue. The issue is not them, it is strangers.
Anyway, I'm so happy for September. It is the start of fall and of course a huge birthday month.

Happy Birthday to: Papa who will be the big 65, Kelsey Bug will be 4, and Meme will be 64!

might disappear until December

I logged into my first class at midnight, looked over the syllabus and freaked out! The professor wants us to read the entire text book. O-M-G (OH MY GOSH)!
I will really try not to neglect our blog but I might need to beg Ricky to take it over for a while. We shall see how that goes.
In the meantime hear my cheer.... I think I can, I think I can, I think I can :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We didn't do much since it was so hot and Ricky was working.

Madi is officially my little mini me. Tonight while I was gone to Target, Ricky said she kept crawling into the bedroom looking for me. She even started to cry one time. That just hurts my heart. I love that she loves me and wants me all the time but could you imagine searching for your mommy and not being able to find her? Sad. She started her happy scream the second I walked into the door :) These moments confirm that I'm doing the right thing being at home with them 24/7.

I {heart} my family!

It is official.... and what is up in our lives!

I'm a college kid again! I'm so stinking excited! I'm taking 4 classes this fall and will do a mini semester over Christmas break before starting in the spring.
Ricky thinks I'm crazy, everyone thinks I'm crazy for taking so many classes but I'm all ready crazy so I might as well be full blown insane, right?
My birthday is about 2 weeks away and I will be the big 25. I'm freaking out. I just keep thinking I should have done more by now. I for sure should have finished my degree. It is really bugging me. 25 is an age where your not a kid anymore. No more excuses. So with all of that, what have I done? Yes, my children are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I did buy my first house at 21 but when you hit 25 it really makes you look at the whole picture. When I was a kid my goals were: go to a major university (UT), become an architect, get married at 25, and then have babies. Well, that obviously didn't happen and I'm so happy I did get married at 19 and have my babies at 23 but I still have so much to accomplish. The most important thing to me is leading by example for my children. If I expect them to go to college then I sure better have a degree.
This is the perfect example of letting God lead your path He has paved. Starting school again I'm much more thankful. This is the first time ever that I've qualified for financial aide and I qualified for 100%! I feel like I'm a lot more maturer and will give this my all. I have a plan and know step by step how I can and will accomplish it. It feels so great! I keep thinking how awesome it will be the day I graduate and my babies will be there! That is why I'm so excited because now everything I do is for them.
Ricky watched the kids all day today so I could go to the doctor and get school situated. I am thankful that I was able to have the day to take care of my stuff without hauling the kids around in the heat.
My next big goal: Running. I've never in my life been able to run. Not when I was 90 pounds cheerleader or as a younger kid but I've got to start. Figure it out. I really want to run a marathon. Just a 5K but I really want to do it! Anyone have any tips on how to get going? If so, email me.
The other awesome thing going on in my life is starting in September I have 2 Bible study classes twice a week during the day. The kids will stay in the nursery during this time. I  can't wait to attend! I will also start a workout routine at the church (they have a full gym like if you were to go to a big name brand gym) there and offer specialty classes. They offer child care in the mornings as well.
The way I've been able to adjust our calendar is like this: 8am-10:45am Monday- Friday we are at the church for me to workout, Tuesday & Thursday mornings Bible study, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Noon-4:45pm the kids have therapy, Thursday afternoons are for specialist appointments for the kids, Fridays are free except for once a month the Nutritionist comes out to weigh the kids and go over their plan. That equals 4 busy bodies but I'm confident I can fit in my classes at night and on the weekends. We do have our house cleaner back- thank you Jesus! Ricky does the dishes and I do laundry but we do switch chores once a month or so, so everything will be covered! At least I sure hope!
Please keep all of us in your prayers. Also, I can't say what Ricky's stuff is right now but I will ASAP- please keep him in your prayers that God's will be done and that our family benefits from whatever that will may be. We are continued to be shown such favor such blessings. It is truly amazing.

I have a really huge request: Please keep Ricky in your prayers. The prayer is unspoken right now but I'll post much more when we have all the details.
So throughout the day if you can just keep him in your thoughts and say a little prayer when he comes to mind.

Thanks so much!!

Krista & the kiddos :)

What the heck?

Do you think if my blog is fall themed the weather will follow? Please! I'll even decorate the entire house! So it's hotter than blazes here. The temperatures are suppose to be 107 on Saturday- that is the actual temp not heat index! We will be doing NOTHING that day but hibernating indoors.

I thought life was crazy but I've not seen anything yet. In September we will literally have 3 days off for the month! Oh and I'm not sure if I've announced this or not but I'm going back to school too! I've not added any of that to our schedule! Oh well, it will keep us busy, get me skinny again, and my babies will get stronger and I'll get smart..... ER! :)

Gracie is clapping her hands! Madi drinks out of a straw now and Gracie is very close. Brody is still being Mr. Laid Back!

a break

Yes, it's true!

Saturday, Meme and Papa watched all 3 of our little loves. They had actually wanted to see them for a while now and I didn't want to take them shopping so, we packed them up and took them over for a couple of hours- that turned into 6! Ricky and I went to lunch, talked about how weird it was to not have the kids, looked in the backseat of the car 100X, dropped off his eye glasses, and went to Walmart. Ricky actually said he felt naked because we didn't have the kids. It was so weird to not have the stroller, people staring, the comments, people following us- it was nice! We were normal, everyday people!
2.5 hours and $300 later, we had groceries. Well, the trip was actually suppose to be grocery shopping for Ricky and I food since we had not actually done that in about 3 months, but as we got home and put it all away, we realized it was mostly for the babies! Oh and let us not forget that we bought 10-12 set of pj's for the kids! We can't help it- we really LIKE our kids alot ;)
The kids were good at Meme's and everyone there was exhausted ;) So funny!
Today, Christina and I had a "girl's day" and will have 1-2 a month from now on. We had so much fun. We started off by getting a pedicure. 20 purple toes later, we went to lunch, then Target, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Charming Charlie, 99 cent store, and Cold Stone Creamery! We were worn out! This heat is horrible! The funny thing is we didn't buy anything for ourselves.
It's been a really fun week for me. With the church event, a "date night" with my best friend Michelle (who is also the babies' God Mother), a break from the babies on Saturday, and then a day with my Bestie Christina- I feel spoiled :)

The babies are passed out. Brody and Gracie in their cribs and Madi is over course in our bed- as usual. I just want to know, when did my kids get so big? They are all in big boy and big girl jammies. No one asked me if my babies could become toddlers.

Madi has her top two front teeth coming in but I was very shocked to find the top one beside the right front has also already broke the gum- she has 3 teeth coming in at once!
They all ate Cheetos for the first time today along with chocolate pudding! Their weigh in on Friday was not good since they've been sick so we've really got to put the weight on them and yes, we were told to get junk food to do it.

We have such a busy week. What is new, right? Wednesday we have 3 appointments back to back. 2 are  in the same building but one is a little drive. It is 90- nothing around here! Oh well, it keeps me busy and keeps my babies growing stronger!

Have a great week!!
