Today and this week

Today has been a good day.

Meme went to visit the babies today and held Gracie for the first time. This is actually the first time Gracie has been held by someone other than mom and dad :o) She is really great! Very alert and precious as ever. Tuesday is the swallow study. I'm ready to have the results so we can figure out the safest way to feed her, increase her feeds, and get her home!
Brody is doing much better. He is now 7 pounds 2 ounces. This weight isn't 100% accurate since he is still a little swollen. He is back on the vent settings he was on before surgery! This is HUGE! The biggest goals for him this week is: eating again (hope by Monday), weaning pressure support, move to crib. Although I hate the thought of him being so big he needs a crib, I have to put that aside and think of what is best for Brody. He is very big and has out grown his bed so he needs a crib. Also, they will have a mobile and other things to help development and he gets really hot in the bed he is in now.
Madi has been really fussy the past couple days. She is having some issues with her tummy. We have a Pedi appointment on Thursday so I hope to make her comfortable until then.
I'm adjusting to being home all day. Last week was really hard but it seems to be better daily. I'm looking at going back to school in January so I will spend the rest of the year getting the babies on schedule with appointments and home life, house organized, and life organized :o) My plan is to get my degree while I'm unable to work so when I am able to work I will have it out of the way.

Have a great week everyone!
