The day finally came and it was time to see Wicked. It was AMAZING! Our seats were amazing, the play was amazing, the entire night was amazing. Madison got to the house at 5pm to watch the kids. They love her and have so much fun with her. Ricky and I went to dinner at Morton's Steakhouse in downtown before the show. It was really good but to date our favorite steakhouse is still Perry's. We got to our seats with 5 minutes to spare. It was the first time we'd both been to the Hobby Center. It was so cool. The set of Wicked was out of this world. Ricky was surprised that he actually enjoyed the show. I saw the West Side Story on Broadway in New York several years ago and it was great but it had nothing on Wicked. I think the only thing that was better was the old theater West Side Story was in but still last night was wonderful.
Ricky has a couple more days of school left until a couple days off and it starting back. He is at school now taking yet another quiz, there is a quiz every single day. It's been horrible.
The kids and I have a pretty calm week ahead. Tomorrow night I have an event at church that the kids will go to the children's program for. Every year they pick a different speaker and it's just a nice, fun time. They cater dinner and usually have cupcakes or something. Love the change of pace.
I think the plan is to go back to Michelle's one day this week to swim again. We also have to get to the library because it's been a good two weeks since we've been.
This is the last two weeks of summer. I'm not ready for it to end. It's really been a lot of fun. We are entering a new season in our lives when the alarm goes off August 26th. Until then I'm going to enjoy these last few days.
In other random news, Brody learned how to open doors and got his hinny in big trouble when he decided to stroll out of bed at 1am to play on the computer. He was not happy about having to go back to bed. I think he was too excited about this new found freedom. Ha!
The puppies are doing well. We transitioned them outside yesterday. They'd been staying in the spare bathroom but since we will be out of town soon, they had to go outside. They've cried since. Harper probably wants to pull her hair out.
Update soon!
