Loving that little quote I found. People come in and out of your life. At the time you don't understand why you distance yourself only it feels right but later, later is when you see the big picture. I'm blessed to have my people. Those that through the years have been in the trenches with and the mountain tops too. I feel so lucky to have my best friend who just so happens to be the kids' godmother. We can go weeks without talking but when we do, it's like time hasn't passed at all.
Speaking of the BFF, the kiddos and I went to a high school football game with her family on Saturday. Her beautiful oldest daughter is a senior in high school, an officer on the drill team, and an all around great girl. I'd never seen her dance or anything after all these years and well, times a running out! Anyway, Saturday just so happened to be a special game where they had the freshmen cheerleaders cheering too and the BFF's youngest is a freshmen cheerleader. So two birds, one stone. Now all I've got left is to see her son play football! Back to the game, it was so much fun! The kids had a blast and were so well behaved! Madi and Brody fell asleep towards the end. I couldn't believe Madi fell asleep... that never happens. Gracie was up the entire time. She was such a cute little cheerleader and would clap her hand, point, smile, and dance! Love that little girl. The BFF and I decided it would be the CUTEST if the triplets went to homecoming with...... mums and Brody and mum thing on his arm (don't remember what they are called) so while 'Chelle makes her girls' we'll also make our kids :) I die at how cute they are going to be! We've got two weeks for that cuteness!
We made a family trip to the pumpkin patch. The kids got to ride ponies again. They were in love with them. It was so hot so we didn't stay long but I took around 200 pictures!
Sunday was our PARTAAY aka party! It was PERFECT! So perfect I think I'm doing a ginger bread house building one in December. We had 11 kids that were the perfect age mix from 3rd grade to 2 years old. They played their little hearts out with bubbles, chalking up the driveway, riding four wheelers, tricycles, and wagons. And the pumpkin decorating went great too! Our driveway looked like a glittery rainbow with stickers :) Everyone loved the food and the kids really liked the cupcakes! I couldn't have asked for a better get together.
We now own 12 pumpkins.... not including the ones growing in the backyard. 3 from Old McDonald Farm, 3 from the pumpkin patch, 1 special bumpy one that was given to Brody form Target, and 5 that we decorated at the party. I might be able to pull off a pumpkin patch in my own front yard :)
Until next time,
Krista
