How is it we are already in the middle of yet another week? The days come and go and before you can even look up it's a new week.
Let me tell you something, these kids are so awesome, so smart, and so precious! I cannot believe we are so quickly approaching their second birthday. What I do know is time heals and the Healer lives. I appreciate that we aren't in survival mode every single day, every second now. I also realize that we are extremely fortunate. Obviously the years quickly go by but I remain completely grounded and humbled by where we've come from.
Here is a fact, Ricky and I for almost 9 years now have fought tooth and nail for every single thing we've accomplished and have. Nothing has ever been handed to us and although at some points we've wished the cards we were dealt were a little different, I can say thank God it wasn't. We've become strong over all the trails and it's a benefit that we've always stood on our own two feet. Every dime that comes to us we've earned, every bill we owe, we pay. And we are making a point to start living a little and doing fun stuff because we've earned it. We are finding balance because we want our kids to have balance.
In some really awesome, amazing, I'm so excited news, Ricky is going back to school! I am over the moon about this! He is so very smart and can do anything he sets his mind to. I think he may look at Engineering which I hope he does because it fits who he is to a T. (Brody is our little Engineer too)
No one can hold us back. We could have become victims many times throughout these years but we refuse to give in. We are claiming a victory and moving ahead with our gifts from God!
The sky is the limit!
I hope everyone has a reason to be motivated. Trust me, we've had some pretty black days, so dark you couldn't see light but please trust me, the light is always there. It's called Faith.
