We've had a pretty slow week around here and I couldn't be happier.
Brody's VI teacher and the lady that will teach him to use a cane were out Thursday. Ricky dealt with them as I was in bed not able to move because of my back. He said everything went well. Thankfully, I was able to start moving around later that night. I will be going to the Chiropractor again this morning. The doctor's assistant say sometime women have problems with their backs after epidurals.... great. At any rate, I just need to get it fixed.
I'm in full school mode. I finally finished the first week assignments for my Government class. I actually really dislike this class but only because I really don't like sharing my political views and they having to argue them amongst people. I haven't cracked the book in my Art class so it looks like I will spend the weekend on that. Thankfully I only have one assignment left for my Computer Business class for this week. Going to school full time is a lot! Gotta keep thinking about the end result... I think I can... I think I can...
Ricky is adjusting to nights. I think he will adjust a little more when he sees the pay increase on his next check. At any rate, it is still a difficult transition for the family. It so weird and kind of creepy at night.
Tonight The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown was on. I put the kiddos' boppy pillows on the living room floor and they watched it. They actually really seemed entertained by it. When Charlie Brown shows start coming on, you know it is the holiday season. Gosh, having kids makes the holidays so exciting! I can't wait until all the Christmas shows start playing. Anyway, we are getting a cold front and it looks like it will stick around which is kind of messing up my plans for their costume. Dang! Leave it to Houston weather to never be able to predict what it will be like.
Next week starts a very busy two weeks for us. Monday, Brody will meet with our Pediatric Surgeon to see about doing a lower bowel/ intestine test. Thankfully it is with our favorite, Dr. Bloss who did their PDA surgeries and all of their surgeries while in the NICU. Tuesday, Ricky and I have an appointment with our tax guy. Wednesday, Gracie will go to her new Orthopedic. I hope we get some good plans from him on what to do with all her little issues. Thursday, Brody has VI therapy and all of their OT and PT start up. The following week is Brody's gut surgery.
Gracie still has not shown signs that her surgery worked. This is very disappointing. We would have never, never, never, never put her through a surgery would we have known. In fact, we didn't even know there was a chance it wouldn't work. I'm frustrated to say the least.
I think that is all the updates I have for now. I'll leave you all with some cute pictures :)
