Soymom.com is Chrissy Ahmed's blog. Chrissy is Shumit's wife- Shumit and I use to work together. Anyway, Shumit has always been a friend of mine and when I was pregnant with the babies his sweet wife checked to see how I was and the babies and followed us when I had them. So we are now Facebook friends which means she is my friend because I am only friends with people on Facebook that I actually like :)
Ok, well their youngest son has life threatening food allergies so she created this blog about the journey and information. She is hilarious! I just love her blog! But in all seriousness, how scary to have to worry 24/7 about what you are feeding your child. And how sad that it hurts his feeling he can't eat what the other kids at preschool eat.
Sometimes when I'm feeling sorry for myself, I can't stand to look at moms with one baby or moms that had one baby at a time. I just think how "lucky" they are that they don't have to worry about a thing. That their kids are walking, feeding themselves, talking, being self sufficient (I know- no kid is really self sufficient but in my feel sorry for yourself mood they are) you think that they have the perfect life. Well, it is just not true. I mean look Chrissy- this momma's world of carefree, feed your kid whatever is over! And if someone messes up, it could jeopardize his life! Could you imagine having to be on edge like that every second of every day? I mean I thought my situation with handling the triplets' care plan, making sure they received the best care, etc was a lot- well it's nothing compared!
If you know someone or you suffer from egg and milk allergies then you should check out her blog for sure! Oh and by the way, her blog is MUCH prettier than mine. And don't ask me how she did it because I try really hard to make mine look cute but it always looks like a hot mess!
