9 weeks old!

Sorry no pictures yet. Ricky is really sick tonight so he is staying away from the hospital and I was there until around 4 so I decided to get some things done around the house tonight.

They did some blood work and x ray on Brody this morning to see if he was ready to be extubated. His caffeine level was low so they postponed taking him off the vent until tomorrow. They loaded him up with a big caffeine dose and will see if it is high enough in the morning. He started holding his breath today. This new "trick" is not cool. We are not sure why he is doing this. We thought the tube was gaging him but we aren't sure. When they try to take him off the vent tomorrow, he will still have the tube in his throat until he proves that he will breath on his own. This is way better than what they did last weekend (they removed the tube and had to use the bag to breath for him until they could get the tube back in). If he does well than he will be on Hudson C Pap. I HOPE THIS WORKS!! We really need him off the vent for so many reasons.
Gracie has been a wild child all day. The doctor stopped me in the hall to tell me that she has been in one of her moods today :) I love it!! Our primary nurse told me she had been moving all around and flinging her arms and legs around. When I got to her bed, she was passed out with her mouth open and arms spread wide open. She wore herself out. They are going to lower her C Pap setting from 12 to 10 tomorrow if she is still doing so well. Occupational Therapy came to work with her today and she did really well with that. That means she hated it but didn't require more oxygen. She is such a princess.
Madi is rockin and rollin. Now up to 4 bottles a day! That might not seem like a big deal to yall but it is. For one, the doctor is very impressed as well as all the nurses. The other thing is she is drinking all her bottle in no more than 9 minutes including burps. This is AWESOME for a baby being born so early and being so young still. Knock on wood, she has not had any As and Bs since August 25th. I hope those are gone for good. I hope Madi continues to do so well with bottles and the doctor can increase her a bottle a day so she can come home soon.
Please keep praying for our babies. I feel like we are out of the woods in a lot of ways but still have a lot of hurdles to over come.
